Self-catering accommodation: Rose Award caravans, holiday cottage & lodges

Heat, light and all bedding and linen included, You need to bring only towels and tea towels. People with allergies may want to consider bringing appropriate items.

Self-catering reservations - details of ALL persons occupying the accommodation should be entered on the reservation form and no alterations may be made except by prior written agreement with the proprietors.

Availability - accommodation is available from 2.00 p.m. on arrival day.  Accommodation must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on day of departure.

Occupancy - the accommodation is designed for the comfort of the number of persons shown (infants & children included) and these may not be exceeded under any circumstances and shall be used only by the persons stated on the reservation form.

Reservation - no accommodation is reserved until the appropriate deposit has been paid. Offer of accommodation is subject to availability and acceptance and is available from 2.00pm.  Please ensure that the unit and contents are left in a clean and tidy condition. Guests are requested to vacate by 10.00am on the day of departure.

Prior notice - required for arrivals after 6pm.

Deposit - 1/3rd the remaining balance 4 weeks prior to arrival - if not received we reserve the right to re-let.

Cancellation of a reservation can only be accepted provided that it is possible to re-let the accommodation for the period booked; otherwise the reservation must stand and the applicant is still liable for the remaining balance. We strongly advise you to arrange cancellation insurance cover.

Breakages - must be reported and these should be paid for before departure. We reserve the right to make a charge for any damage.

Touring caravans, campervans, trailer tents and tents

Camping deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

All pitches must be paid for in full either in advance or on arrival. Pitch tags are issued on arrival and are to be displayed on the sleeping accommodation.

All pitches, other than general camping, are clearly marked with a centre pitch number and boundary markers.  You may only pitch between the markers.  The maximum size tent accepted on a single pitch is 8m x 4m. Tent ropes and cars may not be positioned outside the pitch markers and encroach on adjacent pitches.  General camping applies to the inner area of the main field.

Pitches must be vacated before 12.00 noon.

To extend time of departure on last day inform Park Reception before 12.00 noon - if pitch is available we will grant an extension till 6.00 p.m. (£5.00 charge).

Riverside pitches are always in demand and we advise advance booking.

Hook-up pitches are situated along various boundaries and some copses and are lined in red on the downloadable park map.

Multi-service grass pitches are Pitches 44-49 and lined in blue on the downloadable park map.

Five all year round fully serviced pitches on hard-standing are situated on the upper park area and are shaded yellow on the downloadable park map.

All pitches are on a level plain with parking alongside for one car.  Extra cars must be kept in the car park.

We do not accept American RVs and 5th wheel camping trailers.  Pitched tents that exceed the dimensions of a marked pitch (including guy-ropes) and those exceeding 8 metres x 4 metres, if accepted, will be charged for occupancy of 2 pitches.

 

General rules applying to all guests

Dogs are accepted by prior arrangements only.  They must be kept on a short (non-retractable) lead at all times throughout the whole park.  We have a separate dog exercise field where they may run loose.  Should they foul the park, in the interest of hygiene, please put all deposits in the bins provided.  In self-catering accommodation please bring pet bedding; under no circumstances may pets lie on the chairs or bedding.

Vehicles are allowed on the park provided they are properly insured and driven by a current licence holder only.  A maximum speed limit of 5 mph is mandatory on the park in the interest of all residents, guests and animals.  Commercial vehicles by prior agreement only.  One car only to be parked by unit.  Extra cars must be parked in the car park at all times.

Bicycles are welcome on this conservation park provided they are used with due consideration to all other persons.  Parents/guardians of children are reminded of their responsibility to respect this requirement at all times.

Children it is expected that all parents/guardians ensure considerate and responsible behaviour from their children for the enjoyment of others.

Ducks are the park pets.  Please ensure they are not chased or intimidated as they are easily injured.

Noise on this peaceful park must be kept at an acceptable level at all times to avoid complaints from other residents and guests.

Open Fires & Chimnea are prohibited on the park.  Disposable barbecues must be placed on a brick or a purpose made stand (available from Park Reception).  Barbecues with proprietary equipment are welcome.  Please take care not to burn the picnic tables and grass.

Chinese Lanterns are prohibited on the Park as spent lanterns are a hazard to moorland livestock and wildlife.

Fishing is by park permit only.  Permits may be purchased at the reception.  It is strictly fly or spinner only.  NRA Licence required.  The Environment Agency may check those fishing have an appropriate permit and have strong enforcement powers.

Prices and VAT we reserve the right to amend details of units or items without prior notice and amend prices affected by VAT rate changes.

Disclaimer no responsibility is accepted by the proprietors for personal injury or inconvenience, loss or damage to personal property including vehicles.  The proprietors reserve the right to request the immediate departure of any person or persons whose behaviour is causing annoyance to other guests in any way whatsoever.

Unreasonable Disturbance coming in and out with a vehicle between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am guests are requested to use the car park in order to maintain the peace and quiet of our park.  Please respect this requirement.
